Every time Maria Simon starts a new work, she doesn’t know where to begin.
“So,” she says, “I start somewhere.”
Simon doesn’t keep a sketchbook in the classic sense. Her field notes consist of photographs of inspiring subjects she encounters on nature hikes and what she refers to as “word thoughts,” phrases and ideas that capture her interest at the moment. Read the Whole Post »
